Form a Yearbook Committee

At your next year-group meeting, talk about the yearbook to the grade. Ask students from different groups to join the Yearbook Committee.

Here are some benefits of getting Yearbook Committee members from different groups:

  • The 'cool group' people: could include influential leaders
  • The 'computer geek' people: could create the actual pages on computer
  • The 'arty group' people: could help with designs, covers, and cartoons
  • The 'academic nerd' people: could contribute amazing articles

Committee Meeting Tasks

  • Decide on a regular meeting time
  • Chat about ideas for the yearbook
  • Decide on when the Yearbook should be finished
  • Decide on the budget you’d like to cap the cost of the book to
  • Decide on how you are going to create the Yearbook
  • Plan your time carefully over the weeks
  • Decide on the Profile Questions to ask for Student Profiles
  • Decide on the Poll Questions to ask for Polls & Awards

Small or shrinking Committee?

No worries! We find that the best yearbooks are often driven by only one or two dedicated members. It is also normal to have some members drop out during the year. Don’t be discouraged - battle on! It will be worth it! Your Year Advisor may also be able to help keep your Committee motived.

School Visit

There's no better way to get started than to have a Rockstar Yearbook Consultant visit your school. It's obligation free!

We will bring along yearbook samples, meet your yearbook committee and answer any questions you may have. Browsing the yearbook samples is a great way to get more ideas and see how your finished yearbook could look like.

Depending on availability, we can visit your school if you are in an Australian city.

Visits usually go for around 30 to 45 minutes - perfect for lunchtime or a free period. We're also happy to get you out of class too - just don't show them this webpage. (If you are a teacher reading this, we are only joking :)
